BIGFOOT® Announces Partnership with Vi-Cor

(St. Louis, MO – BIGFOOT PR) – BIGFOOT 4×4, Inc. proudly announced this week their latest marketing partnership in the form of a two-year agreement with Mason City, IA-based Varied Industries Corporation (Vi-COR®), manufacturer of world-class fermentation products for animal feeds. This sponsorship stands as yet another ground-breaking achievement by Team BIGFOOT in their quest to introduce non-automotive related sponsors to the monster truck industry.

The crown jewel of this new sponsorship will be the “Vi-COR® The Power of V®” branded BIGFOOT® monster truck, which features Vi-COR and BIGFOOT logos atop a black and white “dairy cow” themed paint scheme that will be sure to turn heads and attract attention, along with a corresponding tractor-trailer transporter. The Vi-COR/Celmanax BIGFOOT will make its public debut October 4th through the 8th in Madison, WI as part of the Vi-COR display at the World Dairy Expo. The truck will then go on to make its competition debut in Redmond, OR as part of the E3 Spark Plugs Monster Nationals non-points-invitational event at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds arena.

The awesome looking new Vi-COR Bigfoot is unveiled at the Bigfoot 4x4 shop in Hazelwood, Missouri.

“We are extremely excited about this new partnership with Vi-COR,” said BIGFOOT VP of Sponsorships & Business Development, Bob Trent. “We feel that Vi-COR’s history of innovation and quality, and their use of extensive research to achieve successful results, aligns perfectly with those same values for which BIGFOOT has been known for over 35 years!”

Vi-COR President, Mark Holt, was equally enthusiastic about this new venture for the two companies: “Much like Vi-COR, the BIGFOOT operation started off small and through hard work, dedication, and innovation has become truly a global influence in their field. Our customers and many of BIGFOOT’s fans are the same people, and we feel that working with BIGFOOT is the perfect way to help convey to our customers that using Vi-COR’s Celmanax is the perfect way to flatten their feeding costs!” Fans can expect to see the Vi-COR/Celmanax BIGFOOT at 20 or more events each year as part of the two-year agreement, along with a full merchandise campaign to support the new truck. The Vi-COR/Celmanax BIGFOOT is slated to compete in the 2012 Monster Nationals points championship alongside the defending series champ and team truck, the Monster Nationals E3 Spark Plugs BIGFOOT, and is sure to be a hit with fans.

Great Vi-COR branding on not only the truck, but also on the hauler.

Randy Moore & Kirk Dabney Team Up to Break Monster Truck Speed Record

(Bristol, Tennessee – War Wizard Racing PR) – After two unsuccessful attempts at breaking the monster truck speed record since being set at 90.44 MPH in February by veteran Kirk Dabney, Randy Moore and the Aaron’s Outdoors team took a leap of faith and partnered up with the record holding rival.

Kirk Dabney, owner of Maximum Overkill, a well known pioneer in monster truck racing has been in a heated speed record battle with Bigfoot 4x4x4, Inc. since 2009. Previously Randy Moore, driving the popular War Wizard, held the speed record of 84.38 set in 2005.

Previously rivals, Moore and Dabney combined their vast knowledge of Randy’s drag racing experience with Kirk’s advanced technological skills in monster trucks and set out to clinch a speed record for Aaron’s Outdoors.

Randy Moore teamed up with Kirk Dabney to run an Aaron's body on the Extreme Overkill chassis and piloted it to a new speed record of 92 MPH.

Friday evening, September 9th, 2011, Randy Moore took to the strip at Bristol’s Thunder Valley Dragway to topple Dabney’s February speed record of 90.44. After a great launch off the line, Randy piloted the Aaron’s Outdoors monster truck down the quarter mile strip clocking a max speed of 91.88 MPH.

“I have my eyes set on being the first to break 100 MPH in a monster truck. It’s been a dream of mine since the first day my team started building War Wizard #1. We’re determined and will conquer the 100 MPH barrier, it can be done and we’ll get it accomplished. Working with Kirk, Aaron’s Outdoors and my team has been a blast, we’ll continue working together and we will be back to set a record over 100 MPH,” said an enthusiastic Randy Moore during his post run interview.

A future speed record attempt to break the 100 MPH barrier has yet to be set. Once a date is confirmed it will be released on www.warwizardracing.com.

Obsession Racing 2011 Press Release #8

(Menifee, California – Obsession Racing PR – By Jill Swanson) – What a busy month it’s been! It all started out in Santa Rosa, California on August 7th where Eric and Rick did an exhibition run for WGAS Motorsports during their tractor pull show. They each did a minute long freestyle at the beginning of the show and then closed the show with a team father-son freestyle. It was very impressive and it showed in the cheers from the crowd, they really seemed to enjoy seeing two trucks freestyle together. This was a first time seeing this in the town of Santa Rosa. We were very fortunate to be able to stay with Charlie Jarrett. He wide-loaded our trucks to both displays and the show and he also made room to accompany our home on wheels. We really appreciated all of his help!

The following weekend Rick recruited Charlie because of the drive he had to make from Grass Valley to Salinas after Saturday night’s event. They made it to Fischer’s Towing with enough time to jump in a pickup truck and head to the airport to pick up (“Super Star”/fly-in driver) Eric Swanson. That is his privilege since he still is in High School. The show was a Friday and Saturday evening show. Friday night Eric went out for his freestyle and stood the truck straight up and down on top of the van stack! When the truck landed on the ground, the spindle broke and he lost a tire. Thanks to our safety regulations his wheel tether kept the tire from rolling away. With limited time they dove in and fixed Eric’s truck in time for the second round of freestyle. Rick and Eric ended the night with the crowd on their feet in excitement! On Saturday they spent the day getting ready for their drive to Salinas. They had to leave immediately after the show because the gates opened in Salinas at 11:00 a.m. for the Sunday show. The trucks ran great on Saturday night and they were able to pack up and leave on time for Salinas. We want to give a HUGE thanks to Ron and Debbie Fischer, Fischer Towing, James Lester and his Parents for the hospitality and help!

Obsessed catches some big air over the van stack in freestyle.

On Sunday morning Eric and Charlie tired the trucks up after a rough night’s sleep. The guys were all ready to do autographs by noon for the fans of Salinas. This show had racing and freestyle. We thought we were going to see Rick and Eric race each other in the semi finals, but in Eric’s quarter final race, he was ahead but unfortunately spun out in the last turn. Rick made it to the semi finals. All in all we had a good day in racing and for freestyle Eric hit the biggest jumps out there and brought the crowd to their feet. Rick was second to last out and put on another great freestyle for the Salinas Crowd! We wanted to thank Charlie, Tom Tom, Justin, Bob, Elaine, Derrick and the Churchill Family for all of their help, love and support! It is really great to see the promoters using Rick and Eric for interviews during the show to show off our family business!

Another great freestyle effort from Obsession in Salinas.

From Salinas, Rick was driving solo up to Lynden, Washington. For those who have Obsession Racing on their Facebook, he was also updating his travels as he progressed. This was Jeff Jones first time back in the seat of Obsession since the Oakland show in February. He also flew into Washington and met Rick there (he can’t use High School for a fly-in driver excuse, but we love him anyways). This event was for WHR Motorsports and it was also a racing and freestyle show. The event was only for Saturday night. In racing, Jeff made it to the semi finals and Rick won the finals! For freestyle everyone put on a fantastic show, you would have never known Jeff hadn’t been driving in 6 months! Jeff you did an awesome job and thanks for all of your help and support! Rick also won first place in freestyle! It was an awesome night for Obsession Racing. After the show Rick and Jeff drove back to Gary Basl’s and left the truck in Oregon and then flew home on Monday. Rick and I will be returning to Oregon in September for the Harvest Festival in Sublimity. We really appreciate all of Gary’s help and hospitality and we are looking forward to spending time with our Basl family!

If you go on to Facebook under ObsessionRacing, you can view Rick’s updates and comments for an on the road update and experience!

Obsession Racing 2011 Press Release #7

(Menifee, California – Obsession Racing PR – By Jill Swanson) – On July 1st-3rd, Obsession Racing was at the San Diego State Fair with both trucks for WGAS Motorsports. All three days we had two exhibition runs that consisted of two minutes a piece. This fair is always a lot of fun because of how many people we know that attended the show. It is nice because after the event they open up the pit area to the fans which lets us mingle with them. It is always great to hear the compliments and comments from the wide array of fans on how they performed and how they appreciate our business. As always Eric’s capabilities and performance level always makes him a fan favorite as the Youngest Monster Truck Driver in the World.

For the Fourth of July we were in Pomona, California for the KABOOM Monster Trucks and Fireworks Show promoted by WGAS Motorsports. At this event we only had Eric’s Obsessed monster truck booked with him driving. Eric took the truck to the semi finals in racing. The truck that took him out was Iron Outlaw, who ended up winning the final round. For freestyle Eric was scheduled to be the third truck out. Eric’s typical fashion his first two hits were to back side the freestyle landing ramp and then he turned around and jumped off the ramp side! Eric was the first truck to do this and it was spectacular! He did an awesome job and finished up his freestyle with a no handed donut (which made him a little dizzy). The firework show was great and we really appreciate all of the help from Jeff Jones and his family.

Eric Swanson airs out Obsessed at the Kaboom event in Pomona.

On the 15th of July, Rick and Eric went to Turlock, California for John Shipman Motorsports for the opening night of the Turlock Fair. They were two of four trucks that put on an exhibition run after all of the tuff trucks were done racing. They didn’t have a lot to work with as far as obstacles, but Eric and Rick made sure they hit everything that they possibly could! Eric managed to even put the truck on the side two wheels for a short time and Rick caught some of the biggest air of the night! We would also like to thank Paul Churchill for helping to get all of the eight tires loaded and Laurie for the goodies.

Obsession flies through the air in Turlock, California.

2011 All Star Game BIGFOOT A Home Run in Phoenix

(Phoenix, AZ – BIGFOOT PR) – The 2011 edition of Major League Baseball’s annual All-Star FanFest dominated the downtown Phoenix Convention Center July 8th through the 12th, and taking part in it all for the second year in a row was Team BIGFOOT’s Firestone/All-Star Game BIGFOOT® monster truck!

Sporting the traditional red, white, and blue coloring and logo design of Major League Baseball, along with 2011 All-Star Game logos and Firestone branding, the truck was undeniably one of the most impressive sights in the convention center. In addition to getting up close and personal with the truck and having their picture taken with the awesome machine and its crew, fans also had the chance to snag one of the 10,000 free Firestone BIGFOOT toys given away over the course of the event.

Team BIGFOOT returned for the 2011 Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Phoenix, Arizona.

“The MLB All-Star Game BIGFOOT was a joint venture between our team and our friends at Firestone last year, in an effort to support Firestone’s position as the official tire of MLB and the All-Star Game,” explained BIGFOOT 4×4 Inc. VP Bob Trent. “The truck was a huge hit at last year’s All-Star Game in Anaheim, so we felt we should bring it back again in 2011.” He added that “Many fans came up to us in Phoenix and mentioned that they had heard about the truck’s appearance in Anaheim last year, and that they were excited to have finally seen it in person.”

The All-Star FanFest is a family-friendly, highly-interactive experience open to the public for the five days leading up to the All-Star Game itself. It provides fans the chance to become even more intimate with the sport they love. Games, training clinics, mascot home run derbies, vendors, and auctions are just a part of the “everything baseball” atmosphere that FanFest offers.

And while the MLB All-Star Game BIGFOOT is an unprecedented step up for the monster truck industry in terms of brand cross-promotion, it is also the BIGFOOT Team’s first ever Chevrolet monster truck. “After running Ford-bodied and Ford-powered trucks exclusively since 1975, we felt that since Chevrolet is the official truck of MLB, the All-Star Game BIGFOOT must be a Chevrolet too!” explained Trent. “This was a big step in a new direction for us, and an exciting one as well. We even went so far as to replace the truck’s Ford power plant with a race-ready 540ci engine based off of a Chevrolet V8.”

Team BIGFOOT with the beautiful Firestone All-Star Bigfoot #10.

With the warm reception the truck received in Anaheim at last year’s FanFest, it came as no surprise that the truck’s appearance in Phoenix this year was once again a “home run” with the FanFest crowd. “We had a great time in Phoenix, and we met a ton of wonderful baseball and monster truck fans,” said BIGFOOT VP Jim Kramer. “Our whole crew truly enjoyed being ambassadors for the sport of monster truck racing, while at the same time soaking up some great baseball action. We’re already looking forward to Kansas City in 2012!”

Obsession Racing 2011 Press Release 6

(Menifee, California – Obsession Racing PR – By Jill Swanson) – On June 8th, Rick Swanson started his 1,200 mile journey to Missoula, Montana for the first of two weekends for WHR Motorsports. Rick made it to Montana on Thursday, just in time to tire up both trucks before he picked up Eric and his friend Kaya from the airport. Eric’s last day of school was on Thursday and he had finals to take. Eric liked flying in much better than the long haul that Dad had to make!

On Friday morning, Rick and Eric did the Missoula Channel 8 news media. The media was used to promote the Friday and Saturday night show. You can view this interview on You Tube under World’s Youngest Monster Truck Driver Eric Swanson. It was a really nice interview and we encourage everyone to check it out. Friday night went very well. Rick won racing and Eric set the bar high as he was sent out first in the freestyle competition. Eric launched over the stack of vans with ease and Dad whipped his usual killer donuts and you could tell by the crowd’s response, they loved it!  On Saturday night Eric made it to the semi-finals against his Dad, but Rick took the win for his second night in a row. They also put on another great freestyle and the crowd commented on how great of a driver Eric is for his age.

Young monster truck driver Eric Swanson is interviewed by the local media in Montana.

The following weekend event for WHR Motorsports was in Roseburg, Oregon. This event was also a Friday and Saturday night show. Friday night was a repeat of the previous Friday as Rick was on a winning streak in racing. The lucky streak continued as we didn’t have any mechanical issues with the monster trucks! It was nice to be able to park and enjoy the rest of the evening.

On Saturday morning we gave the chance to Freestyle Motocross rider Keith Sayers to pilot the Obsession monster truck. Keith is filming some highlight reels that will be airing on ESPN really soon. He commented that is was a lot of fun to drive and an experience he will never forget. For the Saturday evening show Rick’s winning streak was broken by our son Eric in the semi-finals. Even though Rick was bummed he lost, he was proud of Eric’s win. Double Trouble took the win against Eric in the finals. In freestyle the boys put on another great show that brought the crowd to their feet! We would like to thank Kaya Gladu, Big Joe in Missoula, and everybody who helped to make this trip a success.

Our next show will be held at the San Diego State Fair for WGAS Motorsports July 1, 2, & 3rd with Eric and Rick driving Obsessed and Obsession. We look forward to seeing you there, be sure to check us out at www.ObsessionRacing.com for more information on the team and trucks!

BIGFOOT is a Hit at the Country Music Awards

(Hazelwood, MO – BIGFOOT PR) – The 40th annual Country Music Association Fan Festival rocked downtown Nashville June 9th through the 12th, and taking part in it all from the start was Team BIGFOOT’s very own Firestone/MLB All-Star Game BIGFOOT monster truck!

In conjunction with Martin & Co. Advertising and long-time sponsor Firestone, Team BIGFOOT’s first and only Chevrolet-bodied monster truck sat proudly at the forefront of the CMA Power Zone exhibit in downtown Nashville for the entire duration of the legendary country music festival celebration, offering fans the chance to get up close and personal with one of the most historic trucks in the BIGFOOT stable.

Sporting the traditional red, white, and blue coloring and logo design of Major League Baseball along with 2011 All-Star Game logos and Firestone branding, the truck was arguably the most photographed vehicle in the Power Zone.

The MLB All Star Game themed BIGFOOT on display at the Country Music Awards.

“The MLB All-Star Game BIGFOOT was a joint venture between our team and our friends at Firestone last year, in an effort to support Firestone’s position as the official tire of MLB and the All-Star Game,” explained BIGFOOT 4×4 Inc. VP Bob Trent. “The truck was a massive hit at last year’s All-Star Game in Anaheim, so we’re bringing it back again in 2011 for the All-Star Game in Phoenix.” He added that “We know not everyone can make it to Phoenix this year to see the truck, so we’ve arranged for it to make a few additional stops this year, including the CMA Fan Festival in Nashville with the help of Rachel and Zan at Martin & Co. Advertising.”

“The staff members of both BIGFOOT 4×4 Inc. and Firestone were wonderful to work with. Having one of their iconic BIGFOOT trucks displayed in the Power Zone at the CMA Music Festival was an incredible draw for fans of all ages and brought much of the traffic to the zone,” said Rachel Smith of Martin & Co. Advertising. “Even the iconic Budweiser Dalmatian from the Clydesdale Display is now a fan, as he thought the huge tires were the world’s biggest chew toys!”

Not only is the MLB All-Star Game BIGFOOT an unprecedented step forward for the monster truck industry in terms of brand cross-promotion, but it is also the team’s first ever Chevrolet monster truck. “After running Ford-bodied and Ford-powered trucks since 1975, we felt that with Chevrolet being the official truck of MLB, the All-Star Game BIGFOOT should be a Chevrolet also,” explained Trent. “This was a dramatic step in a new direction for us and an exciting one as well. We even went so far as to replace the truck’s Ford power plant with a race-ready 540ci engine based off of a Chevrolet V8.”

If the favorable fan reception of the truck in Nashville serves as any indicator, then the truck will no doubt once again be a “home run” with the crowds in Phoenix in July. Fans will be able to interact with the truck, its driver, and crew at the FanFest event in Phoenix, held July 8th through the 12th at the Phoenix Convention Center, across the street from the All-Star Game venue, Chase field. For more information on the All-Star FanFest, fans can navigate online to www.MLB.com.

All Star Monster Truck Tour to Crown “King of the Desert” In Primm, Nevada This Weekend

(Primm, Nevada – All Star Motorsport Productions PR) – The All Star Monster Truck Tour returns in 2011 with new and exciting tour stops. One of the biggest stops on the tour will be inside the Star of the Desert Arena in Primm Nevada. Primm is a literal oasis in the desert located right on the Nevada/California state line, only a short drive south from Las Vegas. Fans can enjoy the exciting atmosphere of the casino, the large fashion outlet mall, world class golfing, thrilling rollercoasters, and so much more before heading inside the arena to see the All Stars tear it up.

“The response from the fans has been fantastic”, said Bryan Wagner, President of All Star Motorsport Productions. “We’ve been working hard on this event for months and the management at Primm Valley Resorts is already excited for future All Star events at the venue!”

The World Champion Bounty Hunter joins team mate Iron Outlaw at the event. Veteran driver Gene Kinal comes out of retirement for this special event to pilot Iron Outlaw, while 2011 Monster Jam Rising Star Award winner Darren Migues takes the reigns of Bounty Hunter. Also in the lineup are young guns Chris Ryan in Ground Pounder and Chris Lagana in Michigan Ice Monster. Lagana, coming off a devastating crash in Spokane Washington, has the truck repaired and ready to take on the field of competitors. Rounding out the lineup is Rod Wood in McGruff. Rod, from nearby Tucson Arizona, will undoubtedly bring some local support as he battles for victories all weekend long.

Can anyone top former World Freestyle Champ Bounty Hunter in the quest to be "King of the Desert"?

All the trucks will compete for the “King of the Desert” title at the end of each event. Every competition matters on the All Star Monster Truck Tour, as each truck will earn up to 30 points in the wheelie contest, judged by the fans. Wheelie scores will be added into each drivers racing performance, with a racing win also worth 30 points. Finally the drivers will have a shot at 30 more points judged by the fans in the freestyle competition, making a perfect score on the night 90 points. Simply put, the driver with the highest overall score from all 3 competitions combined is the King of the Desert.

Joining the monsters will be the Outcast Freestyle Motocross team. This team of high flying daredevils includes Vince Morgan, Thomas Alves, and the team leader, 20-year-old sensation Taylor Woods. Woods has been competing at the top levels in Freestyle Motocross ever since he was 16-years-old, and there is much talk about him within the industry as one of the next biggest names in the sport. Also on hand will be a ride truck thrilling fans with wild rides around the arena.

All seats are just $13.00 and tickets are still available for the Friday June 24th performance. Doors open at 6:00 PM with a Free Pit Party from 6:00-7:00 PM, and show time kicking off at 7:30 PM.
