Perrin Motorsports Turning the Page

(Coopersville, Michigan – Perrin Motorsports PR) – After a season of wins, awards, and success the Perrin Motorsports Team would like to announce the sale of their current monster truck racing operation and a much needed hiatus from racing.

Perrin Motorsports’ roots began in the Michigan mud in the mid 1980’s when founder Jeff Perrin began competing in local mud bogs with his brother, Jim. The two campaigned a red 1950 Chevy pickup called the Bush Hog. After some fun in the mud Bush Hog naturally transformed to a monster truck with full 66” tires in 1986 and began car crushing. Back in the early days, Bush Hog was pulled from show to show with a school bus hauler and an open trailer.

Jeff and Jocelyn Perrin have been thrilling crowds for nearly 25 years.

Now after dazzling millions of fans and touring the states performing to sold-out houses, the Perrin Family is looking forward to some much needed relaxation after 24 years of racing. The husband and wife team was always a force to be known, from the early days and the beginning of Jocelyn’s career in the Bush Hog to winning the prized Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam Team of the Year award in March of 2012. Even after thousands of miles and countless hours of travel up and down the road, one thing never changed, the Perrin’s pure love for the sport of monster truck racing.

Perrin Motorsports has always fielded some of the most eye catching trucks in the industry.

It is no doubt that Jocelyn took the spotlight in recent years driving “Slick Willy”, “Lil’ Miss Dangerous”, and most recently, “High Maintenance” but it wasn’t without the endless hours in the shop and the 110% effort behind the scenes given by her husband, Jeff. Anyone who spent time in the pits at any show the Perrins were performing at could tell you about the the smile he had on his face watching the truck fly though the air or watch Jocelyn interacting with her fans.

The Perrins now look forward to having more time for what’s most important – family.

The much needed home time comes highly anticipated by the Perrin’s daughters, Cassie and Natalie who are looking forward to some fun vacations that don’t involve a monster truck show and even some new pets in the future. Both Cassie and Natalie grew up as “monster truck kids” on the road and behind the scenes with the trucks. Many fans might remember the girls riding their quads on the track before the events in the summer.

Perrin Motorsports’ career highlights include winning 3 back-to-back Monster Nationals Freestyle Championships, 2009 MTRA Truck of the Year, 2008 MTRA Sportsman Award, and 2012 Monster Jam Team of the Year. Having started driving in 1990, Jocelyn retires as the most top ranked independent female drivers in the industry.

Saying goodbye is always difficult.

Their career is dedicated to all of the friends, family, fans, and sponsors who kept the team going throughout the years of racing and in memory of those loved ones who were lost on the journey.

“We will miss the sport but look forward to seeing what this new page has to offer.”

Be on the lookout for a special career highlight video coming in December at www.PerrinMotorsports.com.

I Will Miss Following You Guys via Updates & Will Always Remember Those Days Gone By When We Traveled From Show To show Back In The Bush Hog Days With The Weller Tough Truck Series. Perrin Motorsports Team Has Always Been one Of The Most Friendly & Real Racing Team I’ve Ever Had The Pleasure Of Knowing. THANK YOU For Your Efforts & Hope You Can Enjoy a Relaxing Life.

  8. Cindy. Rob & Adam Munds says

    Jocelyn,

As much as we hate to see this as a mom I can certainly understand. We loved seeing you at monster truck shows all around the midwest and you will be greatly missed by our family and everyone who ever had the chance to meet you.

    Much love & continued admiration,
    The Munds Family

  9. Jocelyn and Jeff have been some of the best folks to be around. They’ve been so sweet and kind each time I’ve seen them, and it’s hard to see them go.

But they’re not leaving on a bad note. They’re leaving as winners and champions in the industry. Certainly will miss seeing High Maintenance compete, but the reason behind them walking away is understood.

Best of luck in your next chapter.

  10. Who is driving it now? It is scheduled for monster jam, so someone has to.

  11. Joann Hoskins says

Carson and I (2 of your biggest fans ) wish you guys the best of luck and hope to see you sometime at a show God bless and take care! You will be missed

  12. Jocelyn Perrin was one of the best independent female monster truck drivers out there, right up there with Dawn Creten. Goodbye and good luck to a multi-time champion of the Monster Nationals.

  13. Is the operation and truck still for sale???

  14. I wanted to show how much it costs your eoelmypr in fuel as the amounts you may guess will be too low. Mine were. Once I moved into the office and became Safety Director, one of my duties was checking the fuel report against the fuel stop of the logs the drivers turned in. BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW THAT WAS POSSIBLE!!!! Oh yeah, that was interesting. You sign in to your fuel stop PILOT TA FLYING J or whatever with your password and other company info and the cards assigned to the driver and there in front of you is driver, fuel purchased and THE TIME. Your time better match the logs too. This is where the total amount of dollars spent that day/month was brought to my attention. It really is one of the top costs for your eoelmypr and you can control it.Flat tires on Super Singles I am not sure except for what I have read on it. Flat off the rim like some get, I’m not sure you can drive it. The tires are to be made stronger than the other tires. And the Super Singles I have seen have the air line to the tire with a sensor somewhere in there that does keep the tire inflated to where you should be able to drive to nearest shop. Or to a safer place to park. Will have to check into this.
