The Legendary USA-1 Returns to Monster Jam

The legendary USA-1 name is returning to Monster Jam! After a nearly 30yr absence, USA-1, which began its rise to prominence with The United States Hot Rod Association, now known as Monster Jam, will battle against some of the industry’s top Monster Jam Superstars. In 2015, Roger Gauger completed a beautiful, brand new USA-1 monster truck, revitalizing the storied name. Gauger, who is no stranger to competing with Monster Jam, previously with the Quadzilla monster truck, has the opportunity to bring back the USA-1 name and provide new history with USA-1.

On Feb. 19-20, 2016, USA-1 will compete in Richmond, VA at the Richmond Coliseum against some high profile names in the industry. Gauger said of the opportunity, “We are very excited to have this opportunity to bring the USA-1 truck to Monster Jam. The truck line-up for Richmond, VA is awesome, with some of the top names in Monster Jam and, as always, we look forward to running and competing with these trucks. With a top notch crew, we plan to have USA-1 running at its best to take on the competition. We hope this is the beginning of a continuing relationship with Gauger Motorsports, USA-1 4×4 and Feld Motorsports’ Monster Jam”

For long-time monster truck fans, USA-1 will be another thrilling addition to Monster Jam lineups and another great, historic name making a resurgence. With the revitalization of the Carolina Crusher and Outlaw names, and continuously performing historic names from the 80’s, such as, Black Stallion, Barbarian and Grave Digger, there is a lot for fans of the early years of monster trucks to enjoy. On Feb. 19-20, 2016 in Richmond, VA, Gauger and USA-1 will compete against Walking Tall, Iron Outlaw driven by Todd Morey, Monster Mutt driven by Bryce Kenny, NEA driven by Norm Miller, Northern Nightmare driven by former world champion Cam McQueen, Zombie driven by Sean Duhon, Bounty Hunter driven by Trent Montgomery, Full Boar driven by Ed Eckert.
