SPEED Energy BIGFOOT #19 Set to Debut in Aruba

(Hazelwood, Missouri – BIGFOOT PR) – After a successful test session on Saturday, September 29th, BIGFOOT 4X4, Inc. is proud to announce that BIGFOOT #19, the Speed Energy BIGFOOT® monster truck, will debut at the Don Elias Mansur Ballpark in Aruba the weekend of October 26th-28th, 2012!

Larry Swim will debut the brand new SPEED Energy Bigfoot #19 in Aruba later this month.

Veteran driver Larry Swim will take the seat of this beast, battling for the weekend title. Larry’s aggressive driving style will be sure to test this truck to the max. While everyone anxiously waits for the new Concussion Motorsports chassis for BIGFOOT #21 for Long-jump Record Holder Dan Runte, Larry will fill-in with BIGFOOT #19 until his move into BIGFOOT #18. Larry’s prior ride, BIGFOOT #16, is being retired after its 6 year life, following a major crash in Indianapolis in September of this year.

Bigfoot #19 is a very different ride for Team Bigfoot – a bright orange, Chevy bodied and powered, CRD chassis monster truck.

Bob Trent, BIGFOOT VP of Sponsorships and Business Development, was quoted as saying, “We wanted another Concussion chassis BIGFOOT and this just gives us the excuse to go there. The damage to #16 was not so extensive that the awesome BIGFOOT shop guys couldn’t have repaired it – we just wanted another chassis like #18, which has proven, again and again, that it is the very best out there!”

Be sure to look for Larry in the Checkered Flag Productions Monster Truck Winter Nationals Series in 2013 and see him defend his title. Check out www.Bigfoot4x4.com or www.CheckeredFlagProductions.com to see where Larry will be appearing!

  1. If #16 going to be retired will it be totally dismantled or will the keep her all together and use her as a display truck at the shop like #5 and the Fastrax? It’ll be great if that was the case being that people do visit the shop, plus having one of the race trucks that the fans and all to take photo’s of and with would be nice.

  2. I like anonymous’ idea for #16. Even better would be put in a passenger seat and charge for rides. Better still, sell it as is to me for $100. :)

  3. It says that Larry is only going to fill in #19 until he can go to #18 while Dan goes to #21. This begs the question, who will be permanent driver for #19 after Larry goes to #18?

  4. Cool truck, the orange body looks great . A different paint scheme to change it up, from the mosty blue trucks . The junk yard testing, is always awsome to see. As for the drivers, BigFoot has the best talent for their trucks. A race ride truck would be a cool idea, but i don’t think that’s going to happen.

  5. Darren Migues was originally supposed to be in 19 until what happened to 16. So more that likely he will be back when everything with the new trucks are straightened out.

  6. ricky stutsy says

When Larry Swim takes over BF18,hope they give it cool black paint job and it becomes the Bigfoot Nation/Bad Boy truck.Just an idea.

  7. peter tuttle says

wasnt rick long going to retire

  8. Darren has since gone back to 2Xtreme Racing, piloting one of the Bounty Hunter trucks. The way I see this going, once 21 is built, here’s how I see the line-up: Dan in #21, Larry in#18, if Darren comes back to Bigfoot I see him going into #19 since he’s familiar with the CRD chassis, Darron Schnell in #15, Kyle in #14, Then I see JR going into #11 and then maybe new hire Kevin Koszala going into #10. Again, this is just my guess, but I obviously could be wrong.

Then again, we don’t know what Rick Long is gonna do, if he’s officially retiring. That could change everything.
