TMB SuperPhotographer Paul M. Harry was back at it this past weekend as monster trucks returned to his hometown of Mansfield, Ohio. Daughtery’s Motorsports put on their first event featuring a six truck lineup and their personal extreme machine, the Hairrazor. Trucks competing included Holman’s Beast, Ironman, Heavy Hitter, Cyclone, American Thunder and Evolution.
Newcomer Derrick Anson would take both racing wins for the weekend in his beautiful new Heavy Hitter machine, while veteran Bobby Holman would nail down both freestyle victories in Holman’s Beast.

This past weekend the legendary Eldora Speedway owned by NASCAR driver Tony Stewart teamed up with Outlaw Monster Trucks for the first ever Monster Trucks at Eldora!! The event featured a stellar lineup of trucks including Lucas Oil Stabilizer, Amsoil Shock Therapy, Predator, Excaliber, Prowler and Ironman competing in wheelie, racing and freestyle competitions.
The wheelie contest would see Jon Zimmer in Amsoil Shock Therapy take the victory based on two great slap wheelies, just edging out new teammate David Brown in Excaliber. Racing would be battled out on a huge Chicago-style course and it was Ohio native Bobby Holman taking the big win in Lucas Oil Stabilizer in the finals over Lenny Kuilder in Prowler.
After blowing a motor in Amsoil Shock Therapy, Jon Zimmer took the wheel of Excaliber for freestyle at the request of teammate David Brown. Zimmer proceeded to lay down an epic, dominating freestyle run to take the big victory. TheMonsterBlog.com’s Paul Harry was back at it last night as FMG Events brought monster trucks and FMX to the Knox County Fair in Mount Vernon, Ohio for the first time. Team Beast’s Bobby Holman and Shane Smith would go head to head in wheelie, timed run and freestyle competitions with the boss, Bobby Holman sweeping the night in his Beast machine.

The 6th Annual Gillette Fusion ProGlide Prelude to the Dream was held last Wednesday at the legendary Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, and featured a very special appearance by Bobby Holman’s Team Beast. TMB Superphotographer Paul Harry was on hand for all the action as Team Beast presented a specially painted #17 Tide monster truck for NASCAR legend Darrell Waltrip to drive around the track. The exhibition was covered live on HBO Pay-Per-View as fans all across the country tuned in to watch some of the best in all of motorsports compete and raise money for several childrens’ hospitals.
This special moment served to generate some great exposure for monster trucks and Team Beast did an outstanding job representing our industry in front of all of NASCAR’s top personalities. Team Beast wishes to send a big thanks to all the folks who helped make the exhibition possible, including: Bok Signs out of Centerville, Ohio, the offical vinyl wrap sponsor of Team Beast who created the #17 Tide wrap; Performance Paint out of Dayton, Ohio, long time sponsor of Team Beast; Fowler Engines out of Columbus, Ohio; Stewart Haas Racing’s Jarod Frood; Eldora Speedway’s great staff; and of course track owner Tony Stewart!
The special appearance also served to promote the upcoming “Monster Trucks at Eldora” event being held in conjunction with Outlaw Monster Trucks on Saturday, August 7th. Team Beast sends a big thanks to Outlaw’s Steve Quercio for helping organize the Prelude appearance and for inviting the team to participate in the August event.
